Sewing Circle on July 7 from 10am – 5pm
University Center, Peter/Wright/McKenna rooms, Carnegie-Mellon University campus

With ~36 sewing days left until Pennsic, there will be an all-day sewing circle held at the CMU University Center in Oakland. The date is Saturday, July 7 and the time is 10am-5pm. Whether you are trying to prepare an item for the Arts and Sciences exhibit or put enough cloth on your back to walk around the site, here is a place to work on your projects in fun and interesting company.

Attendees should plan to bring any supplies they need to work on projects, including sewing machine, scissors, pins, etc as well as patterns, cloth and notions. An iron and ironing pad will be provided as well as a cutting board. Feel free to bring snacks. We will probably order pizza for lunch.

You can get directions using google maps from this site: http://www.cmu.edu/about/visit/directions-parking.shtml or review a campus map. Parking will be in the East Campus parking garage on the corner of Forbes and Beeler. Enter through the circle in front of the University Center on Forbes between Morewood and Beeler. The Peter/Wright/McKenna room is on the 2nd floor of the University Center.

Sewing circle coordinator Ts’vee’a bas Tseepora Levi offers to be available to help with patterning and fitting your Pennsic clothes. I will not be available to provide Pennsic assistance after this date, so if you want help, please plan to attend. Regular sewing circles will resume in September on the first and third Tuesday of each month. For more information on the July 7 sewing circle or the regularly scheduled sewing circles, please email lefkowitzga at earthlink.net.
