Have you started a project, only to run
up against a question or snag? Are you curious about techniques or
methods used in period? Do you just need to chat with someone, to ask
a few questions or bounce some ideas off another person? Would you
like to show someone your work and ask advice? At Æcademy, you can
bring your work and:



Ask A Laurel!



As an Order, the Laurels of Æthelmearc
occasionally sponsor special activities, like artisans’ exhibits or
forums at events. These are intended as venues in which artisans of
any rank and experience can display their work and their research,
and receive feedback, advice and support from the Laurels as well as
the populace. At the Spring Æcademy and War
College on June 25, 2011, there will be an “Ask a Laurel”
table. If you see a gaggle of Laurels chatting together, just come
right over - we’re talking to each other only because you haven’t
come to talk to us yet! Please jump right in with your questions and
ideas, and show us samples of your work. There will be people
experienced in these and other areas of interest:Metal and WoodworkingMusic - Playing and ComposingCalligraphyIlluminationClothing and UnderwearMedieval LanguageViking Culture



Come prepared with your projects and
questions, and spend some time talking with others to help move your
work ahead.
