Good Gentles,

I would like to take this time to formally invite one and all to participate
in the Iron Comet Challenge, which is being hosted in the Barony Marche of
the Debatable Lands on April 30, 2011.

The official event announcement can be found at
http://www.debatablelands.org/events/iron_comet/

The event will feature an all-day sideboard which is being cooked by Elss of
Augsburg, details of which will be announced at a later date.

The official rules of the competition will be as follows:

Participants will need to enter an A&S display and compete in three out of
the following four martial disciplines: heavy weapons, fencing, archery, and
thrown weapons. There will be a special recognition for those who compete in
all four martial disciplines, they will in addition be permitted to use
their three best martial scores to determine their final ranking.

Youth are also encouraged to participate. The youth iron comet will require
an A&S display as well as participation in one martial discipline out of the
following three: youth fighting, archery, and thrown weapons. Those youth
who participate in additional forms will be allowed to use their best score
to determine their final ranking, as well as receive special recognition.

Further details of the scoring for each section will shortly be available on
the event website.

For those not inclined to enter the tournament, fear not there will be other
activities at the event. The fields for all four martial disciplines will be
open all day to those who are not participating in the competition,
excluding those times when the fields are needed for the challenge
participants. There is also a Baronial History Competition being hosted by
Mistress Ts'vee'a, more details can be found in the event announcement.

Thank you for your time.

In service,
Jorundr hinn Rotinn
Iron Comet Challenge Autocrat
