*MARCH PRESENTATION*: March 15, 6–7 p.m., Scaife Hall, Lecture Room 5
Reception following in Falk Library
Sylvia Pamboukian, PhD, assistant professor of English Studies at Robert
Morris University, will present, “World of Medieval Medicine and Harry
Potter.” All are welcome to come explore the ways in which medical materials
of the Renaissance were perceived as part of a larger, ritualistic process
incorporating material, environment, practitioner, and patient. Dr.
Pamboukian will also discuss the ways in which such practices were perceived
at the time, particularly the fears about witches and wizards.
