Hi,
I am sending this email in hopes of finding someone who would be willing to present on their area of participation within the SCA. Every year, Burgettstown High School has an Elizabethan Fair with each classroom containing a different aspect or activity from the era. Two years ago we had a gentleman come in that participated in the heavy fighting within the SCA and the students loved it. They were able to hold and try on the various armor and see pictures and video of the real fights that take place at the events. The particular armor that they were presented was not Elizabethan Era, but we tried to compair what they were seeing to what it would have been like. I have since lost contact with this person to have them present again and are therefore in search of anyone who would be willing to spread the love of the SCA. We would also welcome music or artistic/craft individuals as
well. We already have rooms for dancing and tapestry, but any other forms would be wonderful. The only thing that we do need to ensure is that we have some type of activity for the students whether it be artwork/craft or to simply passing around armor or weapons.
The event will be held April 29th from 8:20-1:50 (possibly until 2:30). There would be 7 rotations of students with each session lasting about 35-40 minutes. Any information that you could be able to provide would be wonderful. The students highly enjoyed experiencing the armor and we would like to allow the current students to have same experience.
Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone that you feel may be able to assist us.
Thank you for your time,
Megan Pintus
