Web Developer*
Reports to: Director, WQED Interactive

The purpose of this position is to work with the WQED Interactive team to
assist in the design and development of new web initiatives and the
maintenance of WQED’s existing website.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

   - Perform web site maintenance and optimization tasks and regularly
   update content.
   - Document web site functionality, monitor webmaster messages and
   troubleshoot defects.
   - Adhere to web and coding standards.
   - Provide technical assistance with third-party software and lead
   implementation with WQED's web site.
   - Help support and train user base within WQED. Update web pages and
   graphics.
   - Gather project requirements and provide project estimation.
   - Work as member of production team ensuring highest quality delivered to
   client in a timely manner.
   - Provide monthly web reports using Google Analytics and Ad Butler.
   - Assist sales and other departments in reporting statistics on an
   as-needed basis

Required Education and skills:

   - Bachelors Degree, preferably in area related to information systems and
   computer applications. (Experience can substitute for field of study).
   - Three to five years of experience in developing web sites and dynamic
   data-base driven web applications (PHP/MySQL preferred).
   - Extensive experience with PHP/MySQL and JavaScript/jQuery.
   - Experience developing web sites utilizing a Content Management System.
   - Knowledge of Photoshop, Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator and other design
   tools.
   - Excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking and time
   management skills.
   - Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with the
   Interactive team.
   - Ability to set and meet critical project deadlines.
   - Ability to think creatively and strategically in problem-solving and
   developing new solutions.
