Sewing Circle on July 10

Pennsic is coming! For all those who need to mend old clothes, or make new ones, there will be a sewing circle held Saturday July 10, from 10am - 4pm. The sewing circle will be held at Carnegie-Mellon University, University Center, Peter-Wright-McKenna rooms. The University Center is on Forbes Avenue between Morewood and Beeler Streets. There is a parking garage just east of the center. This URL has the campus map and directions to the parking garage ("East Campus Parking Garage") http://www.cmu.edu/about/visit/directions-parking.shtml

Please consider bringing your sewing machine (if you have one) and, of course, any materials you plan to construct items from. Munchies are also nice, since the rooms are big enough to keep them separate from the sewing.

Some good sites for patterns:
* www.elizabethancostume.net/ - not limited to elizabethan. The author explores many types of clothing
* http://www.virtue.to/articles/
* https://www.reconstructinghistory.com/index.php?s=&c=8&d=141&e=&f=&g=&a=126&w=2
* http://sca.uwaterloo.ca/mjc/sca/aprond.html (Viking Apron Dress)
* http://www.cs.vassar.edu/~capriest/vikresource.html (More Viking)

I have no idea how good this one is, but it seems pretty comprehensive:

RSVP to Ts'vee'a would be nice, but is not necessary (Lefkowitzga at earthlink.net)

See you Saturday!
