Greetings good Gentles! I will be organizing some projects that honor Baroness Tatyana's memory; excellent suggestions have been pouring in. So far we have these initial plans:
First, a quilt for Sarah, her daughter who is 5 yrs old, focusing on good memories and qualities of her mother and including quilt squares from as many people as possible who want to contribute. We are finalizing whether they would be 6" or 4" squares and will cut and distribute them over the next month. We would like to collect them by early March and make them into a quilt as quickly as possible after that. All who contribute a square are welcome to write something for a quilt-book, explaining more about the square and their memories of Tatyana. We would have a photo of the square on the page. I will be sending out a further email with more information and we will mail squares to whomever requests them. The squares should be washable but can be embroidered, painted, written with nonwashable ink, appliquéd, or just covered with a fabric that has a special meaning. THL Michelina has a few bags of scraps of fabric that Tatyana left here with her and we can make those available to people as well. We are not going to ask her parents for any supplies from North Carolina and they have requested no friends travel down currently. We will let everyone know if they choose a charity or a fund for any donations.

Second, Fruthikona Hrefna in heppna has volunteered to design an item of Kingdom Regalia made in Tatyana's honor since she loved and created beautiful pageantry. Further details about that will be forthcoming, but all will be welcome to contribute their efforts and much construction will be at two sewing circles that I will host here in the Debatable Lands. People who do not want to travel a long distance here for the sewing circles can contact Hrefna to see how then can contribute to a similar or adjunct project if they wish.

Third, please come to both or either of the two sewing circles, not necessarily to help make her honorary Regalia, but just to talk about Tatyana and listen to others' good experiences of her. My current tentative dates are February 13th and March 13th (both Saturdays). I would like two dates since many people might have a conflict on one of them.

Fourth, we will have a gathering in her memory at Pennsic this summer, hosted by her Barony Marche of Debatable Lands.

I am acting as coordinator for these efforts but want as many people as possible to participate so please contact me and Byron off-list at caram at pitt.edu if you would like to contribute.

Yours in Service,
Ariella of Thornbury, Baroness of our Barony Marche of Debatable Lands
