 This summer, Opera Theater of Pittsburgh will make
Pittsburgh opera history by presenting The Pittsburgh
Ring Cycle - all four of Wagner's epic operas in the
internationally acclaimed adaptation by Jonathan Dove.
The Pittsburgh Ring Cycle will be offered in two
Festival Weekends at the Byham Theater.

The four operas of Wagner's Ring Cycle follow the
dying struggles of an old corrupt order and the
birthing of a new order. These
death-and-birth-struggles focus round a central
conflict: the love of power versus the power of love.
