Unto the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands does Cadell Blaidd du send
greetings! This is a reminder that the monthly Baronial Scribal Guild
meeting will be next Monday, October 17, starting at 7:30. The meeting will
be at my house, located at 2352 Eldridge Street in Squirrel Hill. My house
is easily accessible by both car and bus, so feel free to email me for
directions for either method. RSVP's are not necessary, but would be
helpful, just so I know how many people to plan for. Warning: I have two
cats, and they have free rein of the house; however, I do keep Benadryl in
stock for those who are kitty-intolerant.

This month will be a Workshop Month, so bring your projects! If you don't
have any, I have asked Their Excellencies for scribal assignments for
upcoming Courts (and will shortly send a similar email to Baroness Una,
Sylvan Signet), so hopefully we will have some things available if your
slate is clear. Also, people are always willing to assist those willing to
learn a new hand or skill, so whether you are a newcomer or a veteran
looking to pick up something new, come by and someone (assuming there's
someone there with the skill to teach you) will be more than happy to help.

Mistress Kris (the Baronial Scribemistress) and I have been brainstorming
ways to rekindle interest and participation in the guild, and we welcome all
suggestions and ideas. Remember, this is *your* Scribal Guild; if you're not
getting anything out of it, please help us to help you. To that end, we are
looking for people wiling to come in and give talks on scribal topics;
whether these are lectures or teaching sessions is really up to you. If you
would be willing to give such a talk, please get in touch with one or both
of us to coordinate scheduling.

Thanks!

In Service,
Cadell
