large files in w32

I have compiled libtiff 4 beta with Mingw/msys, using libjpeg 8, and all the defaults. I get the libtiff that opens large files (> 2GB) but it truncates the images. It also truncates the images with less than 2GB, and repeats the truncated image like tiles but missing a good part of it. If anybody knows if I am missing a parameter or some other settings please let me know.
Regards
Elena

Hi Elena,

By default, libtiff 3 does not support files over 2 GB on Windows. You
may have better luck with the latest libtiff 4 beta, or you can build
libtiff 3 with MSVC and disable USE_WIN_CRT_LIB.
