Hi Guys,

Homework 6 is online and due Wednesday 2/27 as usual.

Please reply to this message to submit HW 5 electronically, and follow
the instructions below. (Some info has changed, so please read and
follow these directions.)

A large number of you (about 16) submit your homework by email. I send
them to our department photocopier which prints and staples them
automatically. However, there are a few things that completely break
the photocopier.

1. Reply to this message and attach your homework as a PDF file if you
   want to submit it electronically.

2. Put your name, Andrew ID, and section on the homework.

3. If possible, please choose a file name that is unique to you
(e.g. name it "269-hwX-MyAndrewID.pdf"). Many of you name it "269
HWX.pdf", and it is a minor inconvenience when I print.

4. (**IMPORTANT**) USE LETTER PAPER ON YOUR HOMEWORK. (Specifically
Soumil, Minsung, Nicholas P, Alice, and Jonathan Jenkins, please
   double check your settings.)

Here's info on setting your default paper size:

    https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/409542/changing-default-paper-size-for-tex-live
    https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/39646/using-letter-paper-with-pdflatex

Why am I making such a fuss about letter paper? Turns out if you print a
non-letter paper sized PDF file to the department copier it looks for an
input tray that has that size paper. If it doesn't find one, it prints
an unfriendly "load paper" error message, and blocks **ALL OTHER PRINT
JOBS**. Anyone who sees this message subsequently loads (letter sized)
paper into the already full trays; and then finding the message hasn't
gone away they ask the department staff. The staff have been extensively
trained to reboot first, ask questions later. This wipes the print queue
of *everyone*...

So \documentclass[letterpaper]{article} please.

Best,

Gautam
