[269] HW1 solutions

Hi Guys,

HW1 solutions are online. The homework will be returned to you on Monday
in class. (Alternately pick it up from me during my office hours). Going
forward your homework will usually be returned to you during the
recitation. (Though next week, we might be a bit late on account of the
delay this week.)

As I mentioned earlier, we offer several levels of calculus, and this is
by far the hardest and most challenging! It is a lot more work (and a
lot faster) than 268. If you're still considering your options regarding
courses, I thought I would let you know that a score of 10 or lower on
homework 1 is some cause for concern, especially since homework 1 is by
far the easiest assignment you will get in 269 this semester!

PS: Also, some "unofficial" advice -- If you think you can pull off a B
    or better in this course (and you enjoy this sort of material), then
    try your best to stay in 269. It will not be easy, but you'll learn
    a lot (and enjoy it). If you think you might be heading for a C or
    lower (or you don't enjoy the material), then speak to me and/or
    your advisor and consider switching to 268.
