Hi All,

Looks like class is cancelled tomorrow due to the cold.

Accordingly, you may turn in your homework in class Friday 2/1 instead
of tomorrow. Your next homework will be assigned tomorrow, and due the
following Wednesday as usual.

So that we don't get too far behind, I will record a screencast of some
of the material I planned to cover tomorrow, as you will require it for
the homework.

Due to our continued monitoring of the severe cold temperatures and predicted wind chill conditions, Carnegie Mellon University has cancelled all classes for Wednesday, January 30, including evening classes. 
 
The Pittsburgh campus remains open with normal campus operations. However, individual faculty and staff members should monitor the weather and contact their supervisor or department head if they believe the weather conditions preclude their safely commuting to campus.
 
We will continue to monitor the weather and will determine a plan for Thursday by 3pm on Wednesday.
