After looking at the new PKGBUILD I knew it works because it's identical to my solution ;-)

I appreciate your detailed explanation about the packaging but please let's stop here and not hijack this mailing list for arch linux or AUR topics, maybe we read again at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cyrus-imapd/
