Hi

I setup a new debian buster server with cyrus 3.x and try to migrate old
data/config from a cyrus 2.4 debian system to the new server.

Cyrus itself works, sieve works, just sasldb give me headache.

I did copy over the sasldb file from the old server, cyrus setup config
is the same, but it gives me the error:

badlogin: xyz.test.test [1.2.2.11] PLAIN [SASL(-13): user not found:
Password verification failed]
Feb 22 13:24:15 xyz cyrus/imap[7842]: SASL Password verification failed

If I issue a saslpasswd2 usern - and enter a passwd, this password works
fine.

How can I migrate the old sasldb do be useful with cyrus3.x without the
need to update all users password?

Any infos, tips, help?

(I did create the saslpasswd file >10 years ago, it still works fine
with debian 6.x and cyrus 2.4.x, but not with 3.x on debian buster).

Thank you!

MfG,
Lars Schimmer
