this setting in imapd.conf could help:
Cyrus 2.4 ONLY - enable special use flags. The valid
names can be taken from GMail's XLIST documents or RFC 6154. Attribute
name in the configuration key should be defined in lowercase. The
attribute value is case sensitive, may contain whitespace and and must
valid UTF7-IMAP string. It must exactly match the name of the subfolder
of a user's INBOX.
Example: xlist-drafts: My Drafts
Every user on your server with a 'INBOX.My Drafts' folder
will get the special use flag " versions of Cyrus have a much more
flexible RFC 6154 compatible system.
But I have no idea which clients obey this setting. I have it enabled
only recently, in the hope that newly set clients will obey it. I heard
that at least Outlook should obey this options.
