squat broken after upgrade from 2.4 to 2.5?

This could very well be a bug in the upgrade :(  It would be great to have a test case to check this.  I can't do that today, but maybe ellie can do something.

Sadly our bug tracking situtation for Cyrus is a mess at the moment, but I'm hoping to have that cleaned up soon.
