Dan,
   The emails never do get delivered, they just hang out in the deferred 
folders.  They are a mixture of SPAM and real mail.
   I have compared a number of them the best I can, I'm not an email 
expert, and I don't see any common features between them.  They come 
from different sources and go to different users with about as many 
different MTAs as you can imagine.  Some have attachments and some 
don't.
   I haven't had a chance to try the debugger yet but, I'll post what I 
find.
