Hi Dan

I tried everything from your first post and test it with testsaslauthd and 
imtest:

It is looks like auxprop don't want to work...

The same error I got if I use saslauthd...

I feel problem might be in sasl2-bin library.

Also, imtest and smtptest can be used for simple testing.
