one workaround could be:

 - move the folder out of the mailbox
 - reconstruct -r the mailbox
 - create the folder by IMAP again
 - move in the mails from the old folder (i.e. by 

cp -p /path/to/moved/out/folder/*. /path/to/new/folder/
(email files are ending with a „.“ - so you do not copy over the cyrus.* files - and make shure the copied files have the same owner, group and rights as other email files.

 - reconstruct -r the mailbox again to get the folder content / mails „back“
