Okay, can we confirm that you are connecting as the user "test"?  Check 
your syslog for a message similar to:

imap[30372]: login: cyrus-fe3.onid.oregonstate.edu [128.193.4.145] test PLAIN User logged in

Perhaps we have a problem with virtualdomains.
