How to reset quotaroot for a sub-mailbox.

Somebody set the quota on a sub-mailbox.  I've been trying to unset it 
ever since, but it appears to come  back---usually incorrectly. 
cyradmin shows it has it's own quotaroot.  How can I re-establish that 
the sub-mailboxe's quotaroot should be the parent?
