 I have absolutely the same problem here. In addition to the crashing
 imapd I see the lmtpd and the lmtpproxyd crashing as well when trying
 to authenticate to a backend on a solaris10 cluster.

 So it seems this is a more general problem in version 2.3.14 as 2.3.13
 runs fine.
