confusing authentication

"getpwent" isn't a valid "pwcheck_method".

Hmm, I would guess there are some errors in your Log about it.
Do you ignore them?

Because saslauthd is the only thing in cyrus-sasl which is able to handle 
getpwent or Unix-Users?
