IMap disasters - Unknown error 53 - Unknown Error 54

Actually the connections don't "end". As far as I can tell the protocol is 
valid, only some random strings are added to the responses. They shouldn't 
do any harm. Perhaps the clients don't handle these responses well? Are all 
IMAP users having problems or just those with a specific client?
