Login Mystery

I added a second IP address to my Cyrus mail host: 10.0.0.2

My error log shows the following:

Sep 12 14:18:53 imap imap[17667]: badlogin: mailadmin.com [10.0.0.2] plaintext tqis SASL(-13): user not found: checkpass failed
Sep 12 14:19:18 imap imap[17667]: accepted connection
Sep 12 14:19:18 imap perl: No worthy mechs found
Sep 12 14:19:21 imap imap[17667]: login: localhost [127.0.0.1] tqis plaintext User logged in
Sep 12 14:21:43 imap imap[17667]: accepted connection

Can anyone explain this mystery?  Hopefully, there is an easy workaround.
