Any ideas? Cyrus takes 5 minutes to start

Larry's e-mail reader doesn't preserve threading information, so you
clearly missed his explanatory e-mail: the mmap emulation in Cyrus is
not very efficient. when recompiled to use the OS' mmap, the slow
startup went away.
