554 5.6.0 Message contains NUL characters

Hi all,

I have a problem with receiving some mails from our partners, for some reason 
I get this message:

relay=/raid1/imapconfig/socket/lmtp[/imap
config/socket/lmtp], delay=0, status=bounced 
(host /imapconfig/socket/lmtp[/raid1/imapconfig/socket/lmtp] said: 554 5.6.0 
Message contains NUL characters (in reply to end of DATA command))

Is there an option to tell the imapd to be not so picky about RFC's and accept 
messages with NUL character?
