Cyrus-IMAPD compile issues

Hi List,
 
I have googled for hours and I find a great many people asking how to
fix this issue ... any help is greatly appreciated.
 
When doing a 
 
 export CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/include/et" 

./configure \
--with-sasl=/usr/local/lib \
--with-perl \
--with-auth=unix \
--with-dbdir=/usr/local/bdb \
--with-bdb-libdir=/usr/local/bdb/lib \
--with-bdb-incdir=/usr/local/bdb/include \
--with-openssl=/usr/local/ssl \
--without-ucdsnmp \
 
as suggested on

I get an error that  Berkeley DB 3.x or later was not found. 
I have db installed and I also have the db-devel installed. The
Cyrus-Sasl compiles fine, and
seems to detect db just fine.
I did find this:

What am I missing?
 
System is: Suse 9.2 - base install - installing only the requirements of
