Hello!
We are running a current version of cyrus (see below) with sendmail 8.13.3
on a Sun Solaris 9 box. When we try to send out mass mailings to our about
40000 customers sendmail gets unexpected messages from the lmtp-daemon and
rejects some messages:
> sendmail[23472]: [ID 801593 mail.crit] j2F9j5wY022544: localhost: SMTP DATA-3 protocol error: 773 lockers
> sendmail[23473]: [ID 801593 mail.crit] j2F9j5cg022528: localhost: SMTP DATA-3 protocol error: 773 lockers
> sendmail[23472]: [ID 801593 mail.crit] j2F9j5lX022550: localhost: SMTP DATA-1 protocol error: 250 2.1.5 ok
> sendmail[23473]: [ID 801593 mail.crit] j2F9j58w022527: localhost: SMTP DATA-1 protocol error: 250 2.1.5 ok
There must be some debug output from berkely db on the lmtp-channel that
doesn't belong there. As a workaround i set the CONFIG_DB_VERBOSE variable
in config.h from the imapd-source to 0. Is there a better solution to this
problem?
Best regards,
Stefan Rapp
