Creating mailboxes

Hello All,
 I am new to Cyrus IMAP, I have used cyradm utility to create a
mailbox using createmailbox command, on doing lm I see the mailbox
that I created.

But now when I send an email to the specific account I get this error
in the logs

NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from unknown[***.**.***.**]: 450
<newuser at cyrusdomain.com>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in
local recipient table; from=<imran at somedomain.net>
to=<newuser at cyrusdomain.com> proto=ESMTP helo=<somedomain.com>


What else do I need to get this working, the cyrus user at my domain
created by default is working fine.Do I have to create the user on the
OS also ?
