Hm, I don't think you are hit by the NPTL issue.
Did you check permissions on /var/lib/imap and /var/spool/imap?
Did you check "rpm -V cyrus-imapd"?
And did you try to convert your skiplist dbs to BDB and back? Maybe you
have a skiplist corruption somehow.
