Migrating from tru64 to linux

How can i migrate a production cyrus server from tru64 to linux without 
stopping the service?
I thought to start the service on the linux (after mailbox database 
migration and other related db) mounting tru64 spool disk with NFS and 
moving gradually mailbox with cyradm.
But in the faq using NFS is avoided.
So I'm looking for other solution.
Did you have a similiar problem?
