Sieve not sieving...but why?

Ok, red-face moment. I just noticed I had an extra bracket in that
example, but now that everything is working fine, I'm now at a loss as
to why the previous scripts were failing, as try as I might everything
I throw at sieve works fine. Magic websieve.
