Mailbox does not exist

good, I have postfix running with sasl for smtp auth and it's running fine.
now I am trying to get postfix to work with cyrus imap.

but I keep getting this ugly messege when I try to check my mail

"[SYS/PERM] Unable to locate maildrop: Mailbox does not exist"

any thought?
