Cyrus: db log files are not deleted by Cyrus and restart Problems!

Hello,
 
i have a lot of log files in my Cyrus V2.1.3  db directory --> every day 2 log files with approx. 1Mb. 
 
It takes about 2h 30 min after i restarted the Cyrus to work properly, because after the restart he´s doing a database recovery! The only workaround i found, was to delete all files from the db directory and restart the Cyrus, but his is a workaround and not a solution!  :-(

I also have an older Cyrus (V.2.0.16), which doess not have this problem.
 
Any ideas?
