Problem with a date change ?

Hi,

I have a Cyrus installation on a Compaq dual cpu machine under Linux
RedHat 9.

Yesterday I had a problem that i suspect is related to having changed
the system time (from december 1999 to yesterday).
A few minutes after that, the system was heavy loaded and I noticed
about 800 master processes.

Does anyone know what happened ?
