cannot get libwrap support

Hi :)

In my process of making an OpenBSD port of cyrus-imapd, I still have one 
remaining problem: I can't get libwrap support :(

checking for request_init in -lwrap... no
checking libwrap support... no

I do have those in my system:
/usr/lib/libwrap.a
/usr/lib/libwrap.so.3.0
/usr/lib/libwrap_p.a
/usr/lib/libwrap_pic.a
/usr/include/tcpd.h
/usr/libdata/perl5/site_perl/i386-openbsd/tcpd.ph
/usr/libexec/tcpd

My guess is that there must be something wrong in the libwrap configure check 
but I'm no guru and could use some help.
For your information, everything else is found without problem (db4, 
gssapi...).

I would appreciate any hints on this issue.
