They are too old too. And I'm talking about RedHat 7.2 and 6.2. People are
still using it in production and I was able to keep the src rpm to build
on everything since 6.2 - until now.

That's what I did for now. In fact I don't modify configure.in with
patches anymore so I don't remember why I kept those auto* calls in the
.spec.
My main problem is that I don't really understand the whole auto* stuff.
But who cares if it works anyway :)
