Hi all, I am new to Cyrus so please go easy on me.

I have installed Cyrus and am having some issues getting users setup
with cyradm.

I have tried to create the cyrus user with saslpasswd2 and it seems to
work and if I try to login to cyadm using the password I supplied with
saslpasswd2 I get the following error.

root at orc /var/imap# cyradm -user cyrus localhost
IMAP Password:

Login failed: user not found at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i586-linux/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm line 114
cyradm: cannot authenticate to server with as cyrus

Here is my imap.conf if it helps.

configdirectory: /var/imap
partition-default: /var/spool/imap
admins: cyrus root
allowanonymouslogin: no

# To use the PAM for authentication (but not /etc/passwd or shadow),
change
# the following line to specify "pam" instead of "sasldb".
sasl_pwcheck_method: auxprop
sasl_auxprop_plugin: sasldb
asl_sasldb_path: /var/lib/sasl/

sievedir: /var/imap/sieve

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Rich
