You're using LMTP either way. deliver is an LMTP client which takes a message
of of stdin and feeds it to the server via LMTP.
> Can any process us LMTP or does it have to have a LMTP clients component?
It needs to be able to speak LMTP.
> Is there any draw backs to the use of LMTP.
No. The drawback to using deliver is that you're spawning an extra process for
every delivery.
