getting 'read timeout' with lmtp (cyrus 2.2.0a)

I'm using cyrus-impad-2.2a with default configure settings for all my db's. 
(ie., duplicate-db = berkeley_nosync, etc..) also, I have db4.0.14 installed. 
I just started receiving these messages in my logs and lmtp doesn't deliver 
to the mailstore without a restart of the cyrus master:

also, when restart cyrus I recieve the following errors:

argument

newton lmtpunix[13648]: lmtpd: unable to init duplicate delivery database


Here's to hoping someone else has seen this problem before and, hopefully has 
a solution... :|
