Is it possible to store user contact/ address book in imap server?

The thing you don't seem to grasp is that IMAP alone is incapable of stor=
ing
directory information. You should be looking into an LDAP server to store
directory information (That is afterall what it does)....Exchange is simp=
ly
a combination of LDAP/IMAP/and Webmail, with a piss/poor SMTP
implimentation.
