problems with login: no mechanism available: checkpass failed

Hi,

I read very much postings of this mailinglist-archive but I couldn't get
help up to now so I write this e-mail now.
I configured and compiled everything without any problems and I did it
like it is described under "doc/". (SASL 2.1.15 and IMAPD 2.1.14)
Everytime (whatever I do) I get the following mesage while triing to
login:

saslauthd is running with "-a shadow".

Could anyone hlep me please to fix this problem?
