cyrus-imapd 2.2.1 beta - auth problem

Cyrus 2.2 requires SASL 2.1.7 or higher.  I've been using Cyrus 2.2 CVS 
and SASL CVS since I started work on 2.2 without any problems.  I'm 
guessing that any problems are most likely config issues.
