Nor am I. Should Cyrus do such a thing on its own? And if so, is this a
2.2-only type of feature?

What I do know is that people need some form of force-lowercase-usernames,
and doing it in Cyrus allows for mixed-case incoming folders.

OTOH, I do not like anything case-sensitive in email at all, so I'd rather
just downcase the entire thing in the MTA, and mixed-case folders become
second-class citizens in that scheme.
