Hi,

I ran into the same problem with LDAP which was even worse because of
the enabled createonpost feature. Attached patch is a backport from 2.2
which converts all username chars to lowercase.

It's also included in my latest rpm packages which I'll release soon. I
mention this because 'username_tolower: yes' is the default now, like it
is in 2.2. You have to put 'username_tolower: no' into /etc/imapd.conf
if you need case sensitive usernames!
