"Last modified" time for folder?

Check the modtime on the cyrus.* files in the folder.

With Cyrus 2.2, you'll be able to get this info from a mailbox
annotation.  For example, in cyradm:

eagle.oceana.com> info inbox
{inbox}:
  lastupdate: 24-Oct-2002 09:56:31 -0400
  partition: default
  size: 3643572
