gilgamesh: no connection!

I have seen a pattern that nodes where all the scratch and memory get
used up tend to crash. so it wouldn't surprise me if that happens on
the head node.

Rich: could you take a look at the problem, and reboot the headnode if
needed. unfortunately, if the head node is rebooted, the compute nodes
should also be rebooted. That is one reason why you should not do
compute intensive things on the head node.
